DESCRIZIONE
Ti portiamo noi alla scoperta del “Loco”, chiamato così sin dall’antica Roma, il luogo di produzione del pistacchio di Bronte ai piedi dell’Etna.
Qui il tempo sembra essersi fermato, dove le piantagioni di pistacchio di Bronte si estendono a perdita d’occhio e la pietra lavica fa da culla alle piante.
Avrai l’opportunità di osservare da vicino la pianta di pistacchio, di toccare con mano la sua corteccia, di respirare l’odore della resina di pistacchio e l’aria del nostro territorio.
Ti sveleremo strumenti e tecniche di raccolta, ti guideremo attraverso i passaggi necessari per la lavorazione del pistacchio.
L’esperienza sarà un tuffo sensoriale interamente all’aperto, tra le piante di pistacchio e la vegetazione tipica dell’Etna. In una cornice semplice e rustica tipica dei Loca.
DEGUSTAZIONE
E per concludere in bellezza, ti delizieremo con una degustazione all’aperto a base dei nostri prodotti tipici al pistacchio, per dare quel tocco in più all’esperienza sensoriale.
Non sarà un semplice tour, ma un esperienza immersi nell’antica e autentica tradizione Brontese…

Hello. Do the tours only start at a specific time e.g. 12.00pm or can I book a tour for 3 people in English at e.g.1.00pm. Many thanks.
Hi Judy, summer tasting tours are usually at 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. However, upon request, we can occasionally change the time slightly, where possible. For lunchtime, we offer a lunch tasting at a different price. Contact us privately for the English-language lunch tour and to arrange a date.

Is this tour okay for someone with mobility problems? I mean is it a lot of uphill hiking or hiking on uneven terrain for the entirety of the tour? Are there areas for someone to rest or take a break during the walking tour?
Hi, yes, we'll tailor the tour to your needs. We always accommodate our guests' needs. There's little walking, and we can make as many stops as guests need. For guests with disabilities, we can concentrate the explanatory portion in one spot, and then conclude with a tasting. The total experience lasts approximately 2 hours. It's very relaxing. The only recommendation is that if you're suffering from the heat, it's best to choose the afternoon tour.

Recommendation for getting there if not driving .
There's no way to get there by public transportation because Bronte's pistachio groves are mostly outside the historic center.
You'll need a private transfer, either with your own rental car or with a chauffeur-driven car.

We had the most marvelous experience! Samantha greeted us heartily and gave us an interesting introduction in how pistachios are grown and harvested. Then she took as on a tour through the plantation ending in a tasting of the fantastic foods her mother prepared for the occation. We had a great time talking to her and the other guests while enjoying the food and the great view. We would definitely recommend!
We really enjoyed the tour!
Sofia explained everything about pistachios in a very interesting and detailed way: how they are grown, how they are harvested, and all the stages the plant goes through — from a small seedling to a mature fruit-bearing tree. It was fascinating to learn about the whole process from the inside.
Sofia is a very welcoming, friendly and cheerful person. Thanks to her, the tour was relaxed, enjoyable and at the same time very informative.
At the end of the tour, we enjoyed a tasting of local snacks and products. A wonderful bonus was a cake baked by Sofia’s mother — it was absolutely delicious! We also really enjoyed all the local products we had the chance to taste.
We were very happy with our visit and would definitely recommend this pistachio farm to anyone visiting Sicily. It is a truly interesting place and well worth a visit!
La visita ci è piaciuta davvero tantissimo!
Sofia ci ha raccontato tutto sui pistacchi in modo molto interessante e dettagliato: come vengono coltivati, come avviene la raccolta e tutte le fasi della crescita della pianta, da una piccola piantina fino a diventare un albero adulto e produttivo. È stato davvero affascinante conoscere tutto il processo da vicino.
Sofia è una ragazza molto accogliente, gentile, simpatica e solare. Grazie a lei la visita è stata piacevole, divertente e allo stesso tempo molto istruttiva.
Alla fine della visita ci aspettava una degustazione di prodotti e specialità locali. Una bellissima sorpresa è stata anche la torta preparata dalla mamma di Sofia: era davvero deliziosa! Ci è piaciuto moltissimo anche tutto il resto dei prodotti che abbiamo assaggiato.
Siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti della visita e consigliamo assolutamente questa azienda agricola di pistacchi a chiunque venga in Sicilia. È un posto davvero interessante e merita sicuramente una visita!
